The presentation will
include an overview of typical
theatrical lighting fixture types and their uses. This will include
automated
fixtures, the newest various LED fixtures, and numerous types of
incandescent
conventional fixtures that are still in use in large numbers. We will
also look
at some unique historic theatrical technology. An overview of traditional dimmer
and newer relay-based
power distribution requirements will be covered, and we will discuss
basic DMX wiring
scenarios and typical controller types. Lastly, we will briefly look at
some advanced lighting
technologies such as fixture tracking, DMX based media servers, video
walls and
pixel mapping.
